For a lot of industries, and real estate is no exception, business slows down during the holidays. The reality is that people typically don't want to make big moves right around the holidays.
This can lead agents to scramble for business if they haven't prepared properly. Now that the holidays are over, it's time to think about revamping your business and hitting 2022 running.
Strategies to Support Agents
There are multiple things that can be done for agents to go into the holiday season and come out with flying colors.
While closing deals might slow down as clients don't want to be moving during the holidays, that doesn't mean that leads and conversations can't begin to manifest into the new year. This is a great time to remind clients you're out there, wanting to help their real estate dreams become a reality.
Also, don't forget to keep regularly updating your website with relevant tips, tricks, and posts. Holiday decor is a great example here.
Do your best to maintain availability, keep in contact, and remain top-of-mind the best way you can. Have a running list of who to reach out to after the new year and watch your business take off.
Prepare Ahead of Time
An important piece of advice here that is not to be missed is to prepare all year round for the holiday slow-down. What does this mean? Several things, actually. Preparing means budgeting and managing your business accordingly. Be sure to really be intentional year-round but especially surrounding the holidays.
The Bottom Line
The holidays need not be gloom and doom for business. In fact, the time right before the holidays is a great time for deals to close and close quickly. Be sure to work to get your clients affairs settled ahead of time so they can enjoy their holidays and so can you.
