It's been made very clear the last few years that social media is invaluable when it comes to marketing a business and generating leads. The hard part about social media is staying authentic and not just another account that people and potential clients scroll past.
Stick to Your Brand
Stick with your brand. This is paramount when it comes to staying authentic on social media. When creating your business plan and brand you picked different aesthetics and slogans that were going to be constant throughout your brand. Be sure to stay with these themes. This goes for colors, fonts, catchphrases, etc. Being consistent with a brand is the number one way to create an authentic presence on social media that's recognizable.
Make routines as much as possible. Maybe Saturdays are "Showings Saturdays" and you post stories or images of different showings from the week. Every Monday try posting previews of listings that are coming. Maybe Friday is celebration of all that happens each week. The possibilities are endless, and part of deciding is the "it-factor" is being authentic to yourself and your business.
Don't Replicate
This is a hard one, but don't replicate what you see out there that's intriguing or "working". Using ideas and inspiration from others is great, and necessary to stay inspired and relevant. But, there's no way to be authentic if an agent, or anyone, is just replicating what they're seeing in other posts.
Part of being authentic is sticking with a brand and following through on a presence. The largest part, however, is still being you. Agents have personalities, and those come across during listing appointments, showings, etc. These personalities must shine through in social media posts as well so that clients and potential clients can feel more connected and therefore want to work with agents more than ones who seem robotic or cold.
