We're less than a month away from a new year. 2023 is looming on the horizon and with it brings a lot of hope, expectations, and predictions. The real estate market is more in flux than it has been for the last handful of years, and the industry is all on their toes. While we wait to see what shifts and what stays the same - here are some business tips to close out 2022.
Leads Are Where It's At
Lead generation, lead management, and lead conversion are some of the most vital aspects of being a successful agent, if not the most vital.
Every lead you're given should be followed up with, at least twice. Many people will say it takes six times to make an impact on many leads but following that rule of thumb might create a reputation of a nuisance.
If your lead conversion rates are low, you need to start there in 2023. Why are you not converting leads? What could you be doing differently?
Think about:
- are you using social media effectively?
- is your website functioning well and aesthetically pleasing?
- do you follow up in a timely manner?
- are your communication skills what they should be?
- do you have local and national market knowledge?
People skills are so important in the real estate industry. As the time comes to close out 2022, be sure to take stock of your lead generation and conversion practices and skills to build your business.
Work Smarter, Not Harder
We'll say it again! Work smarter, not harder! Agents are busy! Their careers have multiple different levels and needs. So, why would you make it harder than it needs to be?
This means (and is certainly not limited to):
- hire help where you can
- automate as much as you can without sacrificing quality
- don't waste your time
- know your worth
- have systems in place
- have strong professional connections
- leverage and invest in your community
Keep Swimming
No matter what happens, if you want your real estate business to be successful, you need to just keep swimming. There will be lulls and competition but hard work and effort always pays off.
Efficiency is king for successful real estate agents. If you learn one thing to close out 2022, let it be this: efficiency is the answer. Time is money. Use both wisely.
