Everyone needs some help in the efficiency apartment, sometimes. Working hard and being productive is important in getting ahead. Especially as a real estate agent. But, what about your time? Read on for some tips on working smarter, not harder.
Utilize Your Time
Time is everything. There's a time to start, but there's also a time to end. Burnout is the #1 killer of productivity. Not utilizing time properly can lead to working in ways that are not only not efficient, but they could actually be hurting your productivity.
Find yourself staring at the computer for too long? Shut it. Take a break. Talk a walk and make some calls. Organize your files. Make sure your car is clean for your next showing. There is always something to do as an agent, so pick one of the dozen tasks.
Try killing two birds with one stone as much as possible. Driving alone? It's a great time to make calls! On a conference call? Put in some headphones and do some work in the office, too.
Stop Running in Circles
It's true: your rest time is almost as important as your working time. If agents don't take time to recharge and reinvigorate themselves then the odds are they are able to come up with new ideas for their business are slim.
Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in the same cycles. But, there's a difference between putting in the work necessary and repeating patterns that aren't serving you.
If the same cycles of marketing, broadening your sphere, and/or shall we say - not getting clients is happening - maybe it's time to try something new.
