Nobody wants to be the weakest link. Whether it comes to one's personal life or professional life, everyone wants to always be viewed as if they are doing their best. In real estate transactions, it can really hurt a reputation to be viewed as the weakest link. It's best to be aware of your shortcomings and blind spots in order to keep leveling up.
Don't Slack On Your Site
Your website and social media channels are important to your success as a real estate agent. It's a shame when agents don't put their resources into their website and it's analytics. Make sure that you work with a web designer/platform that focuses on lead generation. Furthermore, be sure to constantly update your website to make sure that it's current with listings and testimonials.
The same goes for regularly updating a website and social media. Make sure that when a potential client looks into you as their potential agent, they see that you're active online. This helps create credibility and trust and is a great foundation for building a relationship which can lead to more business.
Referrals Matter
You need to ask for referrals. You need to follow up on referrals. There's really no two ways about it. Asking clients to refer you to their social circles is very important to continue growing your sphere of influence. Referrals make up a large amount of successful agent's business. Why? Because someone coming to you for their real estate needs from a referral already has confidence in you and therefore the process is much more likely to go smoothly. If you don't ask for referrals or don't actively pursue that type of business - you don't know your true potential.
Time is Money
Time blocking and other tools are so important when it comes to not being the weakest link. Time management is critical when it comes to being a real estate agent. Especially during a transaction, other people's time and money (large amounts for that matter) become involved and you don't ever want to be the hold up. No client or other professional should be saying "the buyers agent" or "listing agent" were why the deal had hang-ups. So, be sure to value everyone's time, including your own and always put your best foot forward.
