Time blocking is a great way for agents to organize their day! This tool also ensures that time is efficient and maximized which is important because as an agent - every minute can count!
Time Blocking 101
Time blocking is as simple as it sounds. You simply block your time into "batches" of minutes or hours and do tasks that fit together. This method is proven to increase efficiency. An agent's days are very busy and as such should be as streamline as possible.
Streamlining ones day allows agents to be more responsive, on the pulse, and effective in their day-to-day. So, simply doing tasks in any order can leave anyone feeling frazzled and tasks completed halfway or not to their full potential. Because details are important, especially in real estate and organizing one's time is a great way to make sure no detail gets missed.
It's important to recognize that these methods are not to be stuck to stringently. This is more of a healthy habit and routine to get into that can serve agents and anyone trying to keep their day in order. Also, clients may need agents to move their routines a bit occasionally and this, of course, is more than fine.

Tasks
Some tasks to block together are calls, emails, personal time, showings, paperwork, and appointments. So, if an agent cold-calls or does ads in some way - maybe all of those are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for example. Also, appointments and showings could be during non-peak traffic times on Wednesdays. Of course, agents need to be flexible to their clients - but offering a suggestion is a great way to make sure that agent time holds value as well.
