Are you at the top of your game? Do you even know what the top of your game looks like? As agents, it's important to always be in a state of self awareness and evaluation. How can you grow your business if you don't know where you're headed or what your peak performance looks like?
Peak Performance
Before you can evaluate if you're at the top of your game - you need to know what peak performance looks like. Specifically, your peak performance.
In order to evaluate this, consider the following:
- How many hours can you work a week to do well professionally and have a life outside of work?
- What does success look like to you economically?
- What does success look like to you in regards to your life as a whole?
- Do you have any goals you'd like to achieve both in the short term and long term?
- What environmental factors do you notice are present when you're doing well?
Once an agent has established what "successful" means to them and what factors contribute to that success, they can get about the business of reaching their A-game.
Ebbs and Flows
Knowing one's potential and reaching it are great goals and ideals to strive for. But, be careful about setting realistic expectations for yourself. This means knowing that life and success and business all ebb and flow. There might be weeks where you're feeling like you're dragging at work, followed by months operating at the top of your game. While we need to minimize times of mediocrity, especially in business, it happens.
The important thing here is to know that you can still strive for the top. You can find the top, hit a slow patch and find the top again!
