Finding success in any career can be stressful. As an agent, there's a lot of pressure to create your own business and success.
While there are tons of tips out there - they can feel unattainable or at best, unsustainable. Here are some real life strategies to earn you more success.
What You Can Control
First things first - it's important to establish what you can and cannot control. What is your sphere of influence? Once you establish this list - you can begin.
Moving forward, let's talk about your time. Tools like time blocking are a great place to start taking control of your day. Your time is your most valuable resource and running the day instead of vice versa, is the number one way to garner more success.
Outside of time blocking another great way to master your time is to learn the power of no. Especially as a new agent, this can be really tricky. But, once you realize that spending time doing things that don't bring you success - is strictly taking away from more positive things - life changes.
Success Outside of Your Control
Here's the hard part: what you cannot control. The list goes on here; clients, other professionals, the market, etc.
When it comes to dealing with clients, it's important to remember that your job is to guide them through some very large life decisions. Let clients come to their own conclusions but be sure to help them every step of the way. But, if a client is balking or otherwise making things "difficult" - it's best to realize you cannot control this situation and put your energy into clients with promise.
As for other professionals; lead with integrity and do your best to work with those you know and trust.
One of the most important things you can remember is to bounce back as quickly as possible. When deals fall through it can be really disheartening but the best course of action is to just keep moving. While this is a cliche - for better or worse, it's the truth. A fast recovery rate with an eye on the prize attitude is the most direct path to success!
