In life, one of the most important qualities one can have is resiliency. This trait can be learned, thankfully, and it'll serve you well. Being resilient, especially as a real estate agent is priceless.
Stand Back Up
Clients choose another agent. Deals fall through. The market crashes. These things just happen. Could agents find themselves down in the dumps, contemplating a career change? You bet they could. Could they also choose to stand back up and reframe their mindset? Absolutely.
If something negative happens in business or in life, it's best to stand back up. This isn't always easy, but here's the secret: that's the point. It's not easy, it's really difficult, and it's what sets you apart and will propel you toward success.
Mind Over Matter
Resiliency does not mean that life circumstances don't impact you. Of course they do. What resiliency means is that you don't let negative circumstances or interactions shift your mindset permanently. One failure doesn't equate to a month of despair. A few failures doesn't lead to quitting. That's what resiliency means.
In real estate, this requires mind over matter for agents. Agents must be able to keep moving forward, confidently, in the direction of their business growth. Building a real estate business is no joke. It's 100% going to require real estate professionals to maintain a mind over matter mindset. If they experience rejection from a potential client - that's okay, there's plenty of fish in the sea. If the market crashes - hang in there, this is why you budgeted and planned for cycles in the market.
You can handle whatever comes your way and you know this because of your resiliency.
