Your environment matters, simple as that. Where you work directly impacts how you work. There can be one-offs and days spent out of the norm, but odds are, if you're going to be the most consistently productive, you should have a clear work space. This includes working similar hours, in the same place - ideally one that is organized, tidy, and personalized.
Start with the Basics
Keep it simple. Get a desk in your home or have an office space. Make sure that space feels like yours. Sprucing up your work space doesn't have to be hard or require trips to the store. A framed photo or two, the office supplies you always need, and some snacks and water should do it. One of the main perks about being a real estate agent is that you don't need much to do your job. However, that doesn't mean you don't deserve a work space that is your own. Or at the very least a routine.
Spruce It Up - Keep it Tidy
A clean space is more important than you might think. Research shows that a clean environment both at home and at work leads to more productivity, enjoyment, and overall happiness.
If you work on a team and have a designated office, maybe it's a good idea to instate a monthly potluck or bring in some holiday decor. If that just isn't your style - no problem. Get a mouse pad in your favorite color or a paper weight of your favorite sports team. The options are endless but the point remains the same: spruce up your space so that it feels like yours. When you have ownership of your workspace and it's customized to you (your favorite pens, a printer that always works, etc.) it can really boost your desire to get in the office and get to work.
On that note; if your printer doesn't always work or you're using subpar pens - take this as a sign to give yourself an upgrade. You work hard as an agent and you deserve to have a space that doesn't make it harder.
