Growing your business, learning as an agent, and serving clients to your best ability are the resolutions of every agent. But what can we do differently this year to really make those things come to fruition?
Read on to see some realistic resolutions for agents this year and how to keep them.
Set Realistic Resolutions
We're two weeks into 2022 - now is the time to evaluate your business resolutions and decide whether or not they are realistic. If they aren't; change them and let's get started.
Some examples of realistic resolutions are:
- Post on social media three times a week
- Sell one more house than last year
- Try at least one new way of gaining leads (cold calls, lead services, etc.)
- Take two professional development "courses" (webinars, conferences, etc.)
- Listen to a new real estate podcast
- Become more tech-savvy
- Find a better work/life balance (be specific)
- Time-block
Above are just a few of the ways that agents can set more reachable goals. Setting a goal that is attainable is the first step to reaching said goal, and gaining the confidence that comes after that.
Keeping Your Goals
Choosing resolutions is the easy part, unfortunately. Keeping resolutions proves to be much harder. That's because life gets in the way and people get busy. All too often we lose sight of our January intentions and slip back into the same old patterns. But, no growth or change ever happened from stagnation so use that as inspiration to keep your word to yourself.
Keep your resolutions somewhere you can see them. A post-it in your laptop, a note on your phone, written on a white board in your office - it doesn't matter, just don't lose sight of the goals.
2022 and Beyond
Setting resolutions surrounding not only your personal life but professional life is a excellent way to continue forward momentum and hold yourself accountable in all years moving forward.
