Real estate transactions can be intensely stressful. A lot of money is on the table and people are often uprooting themselves in one way or another. Buyers, especially in our current market, can become overwhelmed by stress.
As an agent, it's your job to alleviate buyer stress in any way you can - doing so will make everyone's life run more smoothly.
Stressful Factors for Buyers
Several factors contribute to high levels of stress for clients. For one, the obvious financials that are at play. Buying a property takes more money than almost any other transaction (pretty much anything else, really) even with only 3.5% or 5% down. Then there's the fact that buying a home, even a second one, is a long-term investment. This stress is even higher if the client is planning to purchase a home for them and their loved ones - they understandably want to buy the perfect home. Unrealistic expectations can also play into stress and heighten the tension.
The list goes on about what causes buyers stress, but as an agent, it's your job to manage it so that the transaction can go as smoothly as possible.
