Social media is an incredibly powerful tool in the the real estate industry, everyone knows this. However, some posts are more valuable because they grow your influence. This is extremely important for agents and businesses who want to build or continue momentum.
Posts That Highlight Your Business
Let's start small - with stories and highlights. Stories can be done on both Instagram and Facebook. They're quick, typically 10 seconds, of a little something special that may not need it's own legitimate post. Especially if an agent or business is trying to curate their social media feed to be more streamline, or fit a certain aesthetic - everything may not need it's own formal post. But, that doesn't mean you don't want to show off some important highlights or moments in order to grow your influence.
Better yet, agents can save stories to a highlight on Instagram that viewers can access indefinitely. This really helps grow your influence because when done correctly, this is another way of branding.
Another clever way to highlight your business and continue growing your influence is to have posts that are educational. Your followers want to have valuable content readily available to them. So, break down complicated real estate tasks, explain what's happening in the market, and offer your best tips and tricks.
Posts That Highlight Others
When you have a client that you really connect with; ask them for a review and/or testimonial that you can share out across your social media. Asking for reviews and referrals is important because it shows that growing your influence really matters to you. Have a section of your social media, when applicable, dedicated to sharing success stories and positive reviews. Maybe every Tuesday is "Testimonial Tuesday" for you on Twitter, etc. or "Success Story Saturday" where you can wrap up the week with some feel-good positive stories about your business.
Last but not least, post about other small businesses in your community! Better yet, partner up with them one way or another. Maybe a new ice cream shop opened up down the street from your office - offer clients 10% off to the shop. Pair up with other small businesses in order to highlight them, grow everyone's influence, and showcase a feeling of community.
These tips will help social media remain authentic and keep viewers/followers interested in your business.
