Here is another infographic, this time on a timeline for moving, you can use for a social media or blog post targeting potential contacts! Feel free to share this image wherever you like. It can be downloaded right below the image!
It's no secret that moving can be stressful and requires a lot of effort and planning. We've created a timeline for moving that should help streamline the process. Beginning at 8 weeks out or so create a file to keep all documents and information needed close at hand! This will save everyone a lot of headache. Then, around 7 weeks or so get together important medical and school documents (if applicable) for all family members moving. These documents will come in handy as you establish yourself in a new place.
Next, at 6 weeks begin deciding what to pack up and what to throw away. Moving gives a great opportunity to declutter! Out with the old and in with the new! 5 weeks means no more buying bulk groceries and cut back on shopping. No need to make the moving process even harder by buying new things like groceries to fill up the pantry.
Now it's a month out at 4 weeks and it is time to start boxing things up! So, stock up on boxes, tape, and whatever else to get packing! Weeks 3 and 2 mean that it's crunch time! Schedule utilities to be cancelled and to begin in the respective homes and eat whatever is left in the fridge! With 1 week to go it is time to finish packing, get organized, and make your way to your new home!
